The Gathering for Justice’s 20th Anniversary Gala “We’re Not Done”
On Monday, October 13, 2025, Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we invite you to gather with us in New York City for a historic celebration: The Gathering for Justice’s 20th Anniversary Gala “We’re Not Done”.
20 years ago, in response to the arrest and shackling of a 5-year-old Black girl in a Florida Classroom, our founder Harry Belafonte called leaders and community members together to take action. From that moment, The Gathering for Justice was born as a movement rooted in love, committed to ending racial inequities in the justice system, and building a future where our children are truly safe and free.
This gala will honor two decades of organizing, movement-building, and cultural leadership. Together, we will reflect on our legacy, recognize the leaders carrying the work forward, and raise the resources needed to meet the urgency of this moment.
