A Day Without Black Womxn:
General Strike for Breonna Taylor
NO WORK, NO SCHOOL, NO DOLLARS SPENT.
#BLACKWOMXNAREESSENTIAL #STRIKEFORBREONNA
In the wake of the grand jury decision to not indict Officer Brett Hankinson, Detective Joshua Jaynes, Detective Myles Cosgrove, and Sergeant Jonathan Mattingly for the murder of Breonna Taylor. Coupled with our government’s consistent failure to uphold accountability for the violent misconduct of its employees, we are calling for a general strike—an economic boycott.
On Tuesday, September 29, 2020 Black Womxn and their accomplices will display their collective power. Marking ‘A Day Without Black womxn, we will disrupt business as usual, and center Black womxn as essential to our economy and our equality.
Join us in sending a clear message that the wheels of capitalism stop until Black womxn matter.
